Finding a cheap ATV with great quality that are actually affordable can now be found. We know what it is like to look for a ATV that is cheap, affordable, is durable, and safe for your child or yourself. Providing you information to help you make the best choice is our mission. When looking at a ATV for your kids or young teen we look at several different things such as engine displacement size, the overall power, safety record, price, and quality. Once you realize your child is the right size and can handle a ATV we have some guidelines you should consider when purchasing.
The ATV SiZE
Safety always needs to come first and these are the important factors we would take into consideration to make sure the ATV will be a safe ride:
SEAT AREA, HANDLEBAR LOCATION, and FOOT PEGS
If you have your child stand up on the foot pegs of the ATV they should be able to hold onto the handlebars without tilting forward too much. We would suggest that there is a minimum of two and a half inches of space in between the ATV seat and your childâs pants.
Placement of the handlebar CONTROLS
You really just want to make sure your child can maneuver the handlebars back and forth, pull in the hand brake, and engage the throttle while not having to tilt the majority of their weight forward.
Overall, if your child can ride a bicycle many suited models of ATVs are available. It is a priority for safe riding to locate a ATV that fits properly. We at Powersports Distro will always be available to help you find the correct childâs ATV if you need assistance.
Make SUre YOU PURCHASE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF POWER
On top of the overall ATV size you would want to look at the horsepower (HP) needed for the rider. Keep in mind some ATVs can travel at speeds of 65 MPH and some engines go up to more than 700cc. A high-power ATV like that would be too much for the normal child to handle.
A lot of parents usually look at the 50cc, 110cc, 125cc, 150cc, 200cc engines for their childâs all-terrain vehicle. They would want to look at something their kids can grow into with as much power they can safely control. Keep in mind a lot of these ATVs have features like a remote-control starter, remote control kill switch, safety throttle governor, hand and foot brakes, and automatic transmissions.
